Initial delivery had a labeling mismatch — resolved promptly, quality was fine

We ordered API 5L X60 SSAW pipes, 610 mm OD, 14 mm wall, 60 tons for a pressurized water transmission line. On arrival, heat number markings on roughly 8% of the pipes did not match the packing list, creating a traceability concern for our site QC team. We flagged this immediately. The supplier responded within 24 hours, provided corrected documentation with mill records cross-referenced, and a technical representative joined a call to walk through the verification. The pipes themselves passed all mechanical and dimensional checks. Issue resolved, and we are proceeding with a second order on that basis.

Solid product quality and fair pricing — documentation turnaround needs improvement

Ordered ASTM A53 Grade B ERW pipes, 114.3 mm OD, SCH 40, 200 pieces with plain ends, for scaffolding and temporary structural support on a commercial build. The pipes themselves were well within dimensional tolerances and the surface black varnish finish was acceptable. Our main feedback is that EN 10204 Type 3.1 certificates took five working days to arrive after shipment confirmation — our QC team needed them earlier in the process. When we raised this, the team acknowledged the gap. Product quality is genuinely good and pricing is fair for the specification.

Good value on bulk ASTM A106 order — freight coordination could be smoother

Purchased 50 tons of ASTM A106 Grade B seamless pipes, SCH 80, ranging from 2-inch to 6-inch NPS, for an industrial plant piping retrofit. Pricing was competitive compared to three other mill-direct quotes we received, and the material quality held up well during incoming inspection — tensile and yield values within spec. The one friction point was freight booking, which required a few extra emails to confirm the final shipping schedule. Not a dealbreaker, and the pipes arrived only two days later than initially estimated. Would order again for the right price point.
