Initial shipment delay resolved – product quality confirmed to spec

Our first order of 80 tonnes of B500B bars in 20 mm and 28 mm diameters experienced a five-day dispatch delay beyond the originally quoted lead time, which created a short scheduling issue on our bridge project site. After raising the concern, the logistics team provided daily updates and expedited the customs documentation. Bars arrived and were tested by our independent lab – yield strength at 518 MPa, Agt at 5.8%, both compliant with BS 4449:2005+A3:2016. EN 10204 3.1 certificates were accurate and complete. The supplier acknowledged the delay and offered a partial freight credit. Willing to order again given the quality.

Competitive mill-direct pricing for a 150-tonne BS 4449 order

Sourced 150 tonnes of B500B deformed bars in 12 mm, 16 mm, and 25 mm for a commercial building project in Dubai where the client specification mandated BS 4449 compliance. Mill-direct pricing saved approximately 8% compared to regional distributor quotes for equivalent certified material. CE marking and CARES documentation were accepted by the project consultant without revision. Delivery to Jebel Ali port took 22 days, which was within the agreed window. Communication during transit could be slightly more proactive, but the product quality and certification package were exactly as described.

Good value on B500A coil – minor labelling query resolved quickly

Purchased 60 tonnes of B500A coil in 8 mm and 10 mm for prefabricated mesh production. Mill pricing was noticeably lower than local distributors for equivalent BS 4449-certified material. Mechanical properties met spec – Agt results came in at 3.1% to 3.8%, above the 2.5% minimum. One bundle had a labelling discrepancy between the tag and the certificate heat number, which initially caused a hold in our intake process. The supplier resolved it within one business day by issuing a corrected certificate. Overall good experience and fair value for certified BS material at this volume.
