Initial sizing issue on flanges — supplier resolved it professionally
We ordered 12 tonnes of 316 stainless I-beams (400×180mm) for a petrochemical support frame project in Abu Dhabi. On inspection, flange thickness on one batch measured 0.4mm under the specified EN 10088 tolerance. We raised this with the supplier immediately. To their credit, they responded within 24 hours, arranged an independent inspection, confirmed the variance, and replaced the non-conforming pieces within 10 days at no additional cost. The replacement material was fully compliant. The issue itself was frustrating but the resolution was handled professionally. Rating reflects the initial problem, not the outcome.

Competitive pricing on marine-grade beams, delivery slightly longer than quoted
Ordered 316L I-beams (200×100mm and 300×150mm) for gangway and deck reinforcement on two vessel refits — approximately 6.5 tonnes total. Material quality was exactly what we needed: EN 10088 compliant, 3.1 MTCs, good surface condition on arrival with no transit damage. The quoted lead time was 21 days but actual delivery was 27 days, which caused a minor schedule adjustment on our end. Pricing was still around 8% below our previous supplier for equivalent marine-grade material. Overall a worthwhile trade-off and we'd use them again with a buffer built into the timeline.

Sourced Grade 321 titanium-stabilized I-beams (100×55mm, 6m lengths) for a high-temperature exhaust ducting support structure in Texas.
