Acceptable Corten Coil Quality, Communication Improved After Initial Delay
First order with this supplier — 8 tons of ASTM A588 Gr.A corten coil, 5mm thickness, 1200mm width. The material itself tested within specification when we ran our incoming inspection: yield strength at 351 MPa and chemical composition on the MTR matched our requirements. However, the initial shipment notification was delayed by 5 days without proactive communication from the logistics team, which caused scheduling issues at our Toronto facility. When we raised the issue, the sales contact responded quickly and arranged expedited documentation. The coil surface finish (pickled and oiled) was clean and the coil weight per unit was consistent with the order specification. Reliable Corten Coils for Infrastructure, Competitive on Price
We purchased 10 tons of ASTM A588 Gr.C coil, 10mm thickness, 1600mm width for a highway barrier project in São Paulo state. Tensile strength on the mill certificate came in at 498 MPa, within the 485–620 MPa specification range. Cut-to-length processing was available and we used it for 4 tons of the order — flatness tolerance was acceptable though one batch had slight edge bow that required minor straightening on our end. Price was 6% below our previous supplier for comparable grade and thickness. Delivery time was 32 days for custom rolling, which matched the quoted estimate. Outstanding S355J2W Coils with Full EN Documentation
We sourced 22 tons of S355J2W weathering steel coil at 4mm thickness and 1250mm width for an outdoor architectural facade project in Hamburg.
