Acceptable Galvanized Coil Quality, Delivery Rescheduled Once
Ordered 20 tons of DX51D galvanized coil, 0.5mm thickness, Z60 coating, 1000mm width for a general manufacturing customer in Indonesia. Coating mass on MTC was confirmed at 62 g/m², compliant with Z60 specification. The main issue was that the original ship booking was rolled to the following vessel, pushing delivery from the quoted 10 business days to 17 business days ex-stock — our customer had to adjust their production schedule. Supplier communicated the delay proactively and offered a partial freight credit, which was appreciated. Material quality itself was fine once received, and our customer confirmed formability was acceptable for their light fabrication work. Will consider again for non-time-critical orders.

Decent Galvanized Coil Stock, Competitive on Price
Ordered 30 tons of mixed specifications — 0.6mm Z120 and 1.2mm Z180, both 1250mm wide, CS Type B per ASTM A653 — for redistribution to fabrication shops in Ontario. Compared pricing against three North American service centers and two other overseas mills; landed cost on CFR Halifax was 6–8% below the next best quote. Material quality was acceptable: one of the six coils had a slightly heavier edge buildup on the coating that our customer flagged, though it remained within ASTM tolerance. Supplier acknowledged the feedback. Cut-to-length sheets from the slitting order had clean, burr-free edges as specified. Would reorder for volume projects.
