Acceptable Galvanized Coils — Minor Width Tolerance Issue Resolved
Ordered 4 tons of small coil galvanized steel, 0.5mm thickness, 50mm slit width, Z60 coating for light-gauge forming. Most of the material performed fine — coating weight and mechanical properties matched the MTC. However, slit width on roughly 15% of coils measured 51.8mm rather than the 50mm nominal, which caused minor jamming on our narrower forming guides. We raised this with the sales team and they responded within one business day, offering a credit on the affected coils and tighter tolerance confirmation for future orders. The resolution was handled professionally. Will trial another order with the updated tolerance agreement before committing to larger volumes.
