Delivery Delay Resolved, Product Quality Was Fine
We ordered 900 tons of 136RE rail for a crane runway installation at Jebel Ali port facility. The rail quality itself was good — hardness tested at 305-315 HB on the head, chemical composition matched the AREMA cert, and dimensional accuracy was within tolerance. However, the initial shipment was delayed by about three weeks beyond the confirmed delivery date due to a production scheduling issue. To their credit, the supplier was transparent about the delay, provided regular updates, and offered a discount on our follow-up order as compensation. The issue was resolved professionally and we'd consider ordering again with a longer lead time buffer.

Competitive Pricing on 136RE Replacement Rail
We sourced 600 tons of 136RE for a track renewal maintenance program. The mill-direct pricing was noticeably lower than what we'd been paying through our usual trading intermediary, and the material quality was equivalent or better. All rails passed our incoming ultrasonic inspection with no internal defects detected. The 152.4 mm base width and 185.7 mm height were spot-on. Only minor point — the packing could have been slightly better for the shorter cut lengths we requested, but nothing that caused actual damage. Fair deal overall.

Good Value 115RE Rail for Port Terminal Expansion
Ordered 1,200 tons of 115RE rail for a container port rail terminal expansion in Gujarat. The pricing was very competitive for the quality delivered — tensile strength certificates all showed values above 900 MPa, well over the 880 MPa minimum. Rail height and base width measurements were accurate to spec. Shipping took slightly longer than initially quoted due to vessel scheduling, but the supplier kept us informed throughout. Overall a good value proposition for port rail infrastructure where the 57 kg/m profile is more than adequate.
