Decent product quality overall, with one issue that was resolved. We ordered 5.1 tons of 310 seamless pipe (OD 101.6 mm, WT 6.0 mm) for experimental furnace baffle plates. Upon receipt, 4 of 28 pipes showed slight discoloration (light straw hue) on localized areas — indicating minor variation in final annealing quench rate, though still within ASTM A213 hardness limits (HRB 90–94). Supplier responded within 18 hours, dispatched replacement set with updated quench protocol documentation, and offered a 3% credit. They also confirmed tighter temperature band control (±5°C) for future orders. Overall acceptable. For R&D applications requiring absolute surface uniformity, suggest requesting batch-specific thermal history logs.
