Our first 40 kg order of dried larvae included a noticeable proportion of undersized individuals outside the stated 18–22 mm range, which affected our feed rate calculations for the poultry calcium supplementation trial we were running. I raised this with the supplier and they responded within 12 hours, acknowledged the grading issue on that batch, and shipped a 5 kg replacement at no charge while adjusting QC screening parameters. Second delivery was correct. Calcium content was fine at 8,400 mg/kg DM throughout. Issue is resolved — cautious optimism for future orders.
