The steel
Grade 430 is a ferritic stainless steel. It is magnetic, contains almost no nickel, and is widely used for appliance panels, kitchen equipment and decorative trim.
How the coils were loaded

1. Check the container first. The containers were photographed empty before loading, so the floor and walls can be seen.
2. Protect the coil. The coils were wrapped, fitted with edge protectors, banded with steel straps and set on wooden saddles.

3. Block it so it cannot roll. Timber frames in front of and behind the coils keep them in place when the ship moves.

4. Tie it down. The frames and coils are also tied with wire to lashing points along the container floor.
5. Seal and record. The containers were then closed with bolt seals, and the seals were photographed.
Why this matters to a buyer
A coil weighs several tonnes. If it shifts at sea, it can damage its own edges, the next coil or the container. Damaged edges often have to be trimmed off, and that steel is lost.
So before the ship sails, ask your supplier for three kinds of photos: the empty container, each coil blocked and tied down, and the closed door with its seal. If something looks wrong, it can still be fixed at the loading site instead of argued about after arrival.
