Ordered 25 tons of ASTM A588 Grade A coil, 6mm thickness, 1200mm width, for a municipal bridge repair project in Manitoba. Material quality itself was acceptable — MTC showed yield strength at 348 MPa and copper content at 0.31%, both on-spec. However, the shipment arrived 9 days later than the originally confirmed delivery window, which caused a minor schedule adjustment on site. When we raised this, the sales team responded within a business day, explained the delay was due to a port congestion issue at origin, and provided a freight discount on the subsequent order. The corrective communication was handled professionally. We have placed a second order since then and delivery was on time. The quality is there; the logistics coordination could be tightened for time-sensitive projects.
