Ordered 10 tons of Corten B coil, 5mm thickness, 1800mm width for an outdoor industrial enclosure project in Alberta. Material properties on the MTC were compliant with ASTM A588 and mechanical test values were within specification. However, the shipment arrived 6 days beyond the initially quoted 20-day lead time due to port scheduling issues, which caused a minor delay in our fabrication start. The supplier communicated the delay proactively and provided revised tracking information. No quality defects were found upon inspection and the EN 10204 3.1 certificates were complete. The issue appears to have been a logistics exception rather than a systemic problem. We would consider reordering with earlier lead time buffer built into our schedule.
