Acceptable Quality with Minor Issues Resolved
Decent product quality overall, with one issue that was resolved. We ordered 7.4 tons of 304 stainless steel angle (45×45×4 mm, equal-leg, cut to 1,800 mm) for HVAC duct supports in Houston. Upon receipt, 5 pieces (out of 1,024) showed minor surface scratches near cut ends — likely from handling during plasma profiling. The scratches were superficial (<0.05 mm depth) but unacceptable for our visible interior application. To their credit, the supplier responded within 18 hours, issued a full replacement set with upgraded edge protection, and added a 2% goodwill credit. Overall acceptable. For aesthetic applications, suggest requesting additional end-cap protection and specifying 'scratch-free handling' in purchase order notes.
