Our first 100 kg order of vacuum-packed silkworm pupae for poultry feed trials contained approximately 12% of pupae below the stated ≥18 mm size uniformity specification. This affected our feed pellet formulation consistency. I raised the issue directly with their quality team, who acknowledged the sorting variance, provided a detailed corrective action report referencing their HACCP process controls, and issued a partial credit within five business days. The replacement 50 kg consignment was fully within spec. Protein and moisture values were correct throughout. Issue appears resolved — willing to reorder at larger volume to confirm consistency.
