Our first 25 kg order of BSF larvae arrived with approximately 8% DOA, above the acceptable threshold for our reptile client accounts. We flagged this immediately and the supplier's QC team identified a humidity control failure in that production batch. A full replacement shipment of 25 kg was dispatched within 72 hours at no cost, arriving with 98% live rate and correct 20–24 mm sizing. Protein values on the replacement batch tested at 43.1% DM — on spec. Communication throughout was transparent. One incident in four months of trialing; we have cautiously resumed ordering at reduced volume while monitoring consistency.
