Acceptable Quality with Documentation Delay
Purchased 7 tons of NM450 steel plate in 18mm thickness for conveyor belt scraper application in iron ore processing facility. Material quality met specifications with hardness averaging 452 HBW and proper yield strength of 1240 MPa. However, mill test certificates were delayed by 5 days after shipment arrival causing customs clearance issues. Issue was eventually resolved with expedited courier service at their expense. Product itself performs well in our abrasive ore handling application. Would order again but emphasize documentation timing requirements upfront for South American shipments.
