Ordered 28 tons of PE prepainted coil, 0.38mm thickness, 1,050mm width, Z120, RAL 6005 moss green for a school roofing contract in Manchester. Seven of the eight coils matched the RAL reference within ΔE 1.4. One coil measured ΔE 2.1, which was outside the agreed 1.5 tolerance. Raised the issue with documentation and photos — the supplier responded within 24 hours, confirmed the deviation from their own retained sample, and arranged a replacement coil that arrived within 18 days. The replacement coil measured ΔE 1.1. MTC for all coils was complete and accurate. The resolution process was handled professionally, but the initial deviation did cause a two-week delay on our installation schedule. Would consider ordering again given how the issue was managed.
