Ordered 8 metric tons of API 5L Grade B seamless pipe, OD 60.3 mm, wall 5.54 mm, for a petrochemical client in Indonesia. The pipe dimensions and mechanical properties were within specification when we checked against the MTR. However, the initial shipment documents were missing the hydrostatic test pressure records, which our end client required for regulatory submission. We raised this within 24 hours of receiving the paperwork and the complete test records were emailed within two business days—so the issue was resolved before cargo arrived at port. Delivery was 27 working days, within the quoted range. Quality of the pipe itself was acceptable; the documentation process needs to be more thorough on first issue.
