Ordered 8 tons of ASTM A106 Gr.B seamless pipes with a non-standard wall thickness of 11mm in OD 114.3mm for a bespoke pressure vessel application. The pipes themselves passed our incoming inspection—dimensions were within tolerance and MTC mechanical values were compliant. However, the initial documentation package was missing the hydrostatic test pressure values on the MTC, which our client's QA team flagged immediately. We raised this with the sales team and a corrected MTC was issued within 48 hours, but it caused a 3-day hold on our fabrication schedule. Delivery itself was 31 working days, within the quoted 25–35 day window for custom production. The issue was resolved professionally, but tighter document QC before dispatch would make this a straightforward 5-star experience.
