We ordered 12 tons of ASTM A106 Gr.B seamless pipe, 3" and 4" SCH 80, for a refinery maintenance project in Alberta. Material quality itself was fine — MTCs confirmed chemical and mechanical properties were within ASTM A106 specification, and the pipe surfaces were clean with no visible seams or defects. However, the initial shipment was delayed by 9 days beyond the quoted 5–7 business day window due to a logistics issue at the port of origin. The supplier proactively communicated the delay and provided a revised ETA, which helped us adjust our site schedule. They also offered a partial freight credit as compensation. Quality is there, and the issue was handled professionally, so we would consider ordering again with a longer buffer in the schedule.
