Ordered 8 tons of ASTM A106 Gr.B seamless pipe, OD 60.3mm, wall thickness 5.54mm, cut to 6,100mm for a mechanical processing application. The pipe dimensions and material properties were acceptable—tensile strength at 422 MPa, within A106 Gr.B requirements. However, the EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates were not included in the initial shipment documents, which caused a 4-day delay at our customs clearance. After raising the issue, the supplier emailed the certificates within 6 hours and worked with the freight forwarder to provide the originals. The problem was resolved, but it added unexpected administrative work on our side. Pipe quality itself was fine for our application. Would consider reordering if documentation process is confirmed to be corrected.
