Ordered 28 tons of 75×50×6mm unequal leg angles for hull stiffener fabrication in our shipyard. When the container arrived, approximately 15% of the material had surface rust beyond normal mill scale, likely from moisture during transit. Contacted the supplier and they responded within 24 hours with a solution—provided a credit note for affected material and arranged better moisture protection packaging for our follow-up order. The steel itself met all A36 mechanical specs per MTC. The issue was handled professionally so we're willing to continue the relationship with improved shipping terms.
