Initial dimensional issue on 150mm bars — resolved after supplier follow-up
Placed an order for 30 tons of Q345 square bars, 150mm × 150mm, 6-meter lengths for heavy equipment support structures. On arrival at Jebel Ali, our QC team found that roughly 8% of pieces in one bundle had width deviations slightly outside the GB/T 702 tolerance band. We raised a formal NCR with photos. The supplier responded within 48 hours, acknowledged the issue, and arranged replacement pieces on the next shipment at no additional cost. The replacement material was correct. The resolution process was professional, but the initial quality lapse added two weeks to our project timeline. Cautiously optimistic about future orders given how they handled it.
