We received 40 tons of hot-dip galvanized HW250×250 for a coastal warehouse project in Gujarat. On arrival, approximately 8% of pieces showed thin zinc coating areas below the 85 µm minimum we specified. We raised a formal NCR with photos within 24 hours. The supplier acknowledged the issue promptly, arranged re-galvanizing of the affected pieces through a local partner at their cost, and delivered replacements within nine days — which kept our site schedule intact. Dimensional specs and base steel chemistry were fine throughout. Supplier's after-sales response was professional; the initial QC lapse was disappointing but the resolution was handled well.
