Initial moisture variance resolved — quality now consistent
First 100 kg order of milled grasshopper meal showed moisture at 8.3% in our incoming QC test, slightly above the ≤7% specification. Raised issue with supplier immediately. They expedited a replacement 50 kg top-up lot within 10 days and provided a root cause analysis citing a calibration issue in one drying unit. Second and third orders have tested at 6.4% and 6.7% moisture respectively — fully within spec. Protein held at 65% across corrective batches. Appreciate the responsive handling. Now approved as secondary supplier for our poultry premix line.
