Our first 500 kg shipment of dried Gryllus bimaculatus arrived with moisture readings of 9.1–9.4% on two sub-samples, exceeding the ≤8% specification and creating clumping concerns for our pelleting line. We raised this formally with the supplier, referencing our internal QC protocol aligned with ISO 6496 moisture determination. The response was prompt: a replacement partial shipment of 150 kg was dispatched within 10 days at no additional cost, and the supplier provided updated drying process records for traceability. The replacement lot tested at 7.3% moisture. We've since placed a 1-tonne follow-up order with no issues. Issue was resolved professionally; confidence has been restored.
