Placed a 6-ton trial order for Q235B hot rolled checkered coil, 2mm base thickness, 1000mm width, diamond pattern for re-export to a Southeast Asian construction client. MTC was provided and chemical composition was within GB/T 3277-2016 limits. However, upon inspection at our Singapore warehouse, we found width tolerance on one coil measured at -1.8mm deviation, slightly outside the ±1.0mm tolerance specified. We raised this with the supplier and they acknowledged the issue, providing a partial credit adjustment within 5 business days and confirming tighter QC checks for subsequent production. The remaining coils were within tolerance. Communication during the resolution was responsive. We will consider a follow-up order based on whether the next shipment maintains consistent dimensional control.
