Acceptable Galvanized Coil Quality — Packaging Issue Resolved
Ordered 25 MT of galvanized coil, 0.5mm thickness, Z60 coating, 600mm width for re-export to regional buyers. Material quality itself was acceptable — coating mass and mechanical properties matched the MTC values. However, two coils in the shipment arrived with edge damage from insufficient waterproof wrapping during ocean freight, resulting in surface rust on the outer wraps of those coils. We reported the issue with photos within 24 hours of receipt. The supplier acknowledged responsibility, issued a credit note covering approximately 1.2 MT of affected material, and updated the packaging specification for future orders. Resolution was handled professionally and without dispute. The underlying product quality is solid; we just needed the logistics handling to match. Will order again with the revised packaging confirmed in writing.
