Our 300 km order of G.654D fiber arrived with inconsistent reel length labeling: three reels showed discrepancies between the printed label and the actual measured length, complicating our splicing schedule. We raised the issue immediately and the supplier's support team responded within 4 hours, issued corrected documentation, and offered partial credit for the scheduling disruption. Fiber optical performance itself was fine—attenuation at 1550 nm and effective area ≥125 μm² both met ITU-T G.654D spec on OTDR verification.
