Acceptable Quality with Documentation Issues Resolved
Decent product with some initial documentation concerns that were addressed. We ordered 890 kilograms of TP304L food grade pipe (2-inch OD, electropolished) for our dairy equipment manufacturing. The pipes themselves met ASTM A270 specifications with proper surface finish at 0.29 μm Ra. However, initial shipment arrived without the required FDA 21 CFR compliance certificates, only basic mill test reports. After contacting their quality department, they provided complete documentation including 3-A sanitary standards certification and passivation validation reports within 3 business days. Material quality was good once proper paperwork arrived. Suggestion: Include all sanitary compliance certificates in initial shipment to avoid delays for customers with strict quality procedures. Would consider ordering again now that documentation process is clarified, but recommend verifying certificate requirements upfront for food-contact applications.
