Ordered 8 tons of 1-1/2" and 2" galvanized pipe, plain ends, for distribution to construction clients in Southeast Asia. Material quality itself met JIS G3444 requirements and zinc coating was uniform with no bare spots observed. However, upon arrival at Singapore port, approximately 15% of bundles had damaged plastic end caps, exposing pipe ends to moisture during transit. Raised this with the supplier immediately and they responded within a few hours, offering partial credit for any end treatment costs we incurred. Issue was documented and they confirmed updated packaging protocol for future orders. Underlying product quality is acceptable — we'll likely trial another order to see if the packaging improvement holds.
