Sourced 95 tons of LSAW pipe in API 5L X70 PSL2, 914mm OD, 14.3mm wall with FBE internal and 3LPE external coating for an oil sands pipeline expansion in Alberta. The specification required low-temperature toughness testing at -46°C per CSA Z245.1, and the supplier confirmed capability before we committed. Charpy impact results at -46°C averaged 112 J — significantly above our 60 J requirement. Weld seam radiographic examination records were included in the documentation package alongside the EN 10204 3.1 certificates. Production completed in 33 days; pipe arrived at Edmonton laydown yard on day 37, within our project window. The mill-direct pricing saved our client approximately CAD 85,000 versus the domestic distributor quote we received. This is our first order with this manufacturer and it will not be the last.
