Quality Was Good — Initial Shipment Had a Bundle Labelling Issue, Now Resolved
Our order of 25 tons of A572 Gr.50 C-channel (web depth 200mm, wall thickness 9mm) arrived with two bundles labelled incorrectly — the heat numbers on the tags didn't match the corresponding MTR entries. This created a traceability concern that required clarification before we could release material to the shop floor. To their credit, the supplier's quality team responded within 4 hours, provided corrected documentation, and issued a corrective action report. The steel itself met all dimensional and mechanical requirements per ASTM A6/A6M. We've since placed a second order and labelling was correct. Raising to 4 stars on next review if consistency holds.
