Received 80 meters of PCF with 12 µm core and d/Λ = 0.55 for a pulsed fiber laser build. Initial splice loss measurements exceeded our target by roughly 0.8 dB, which was concerning. Contacted technical support and they identified a parameter mismatch in our fusion splicer settings and provided corrected arc parameters within 24 hours. After adjustment, splice loss came within spec. Fiber itself met IEC 60793 attenuation and diameter tolerances. Issue was on our end but faster onboarding documentation would have prevented it. Supplier was responsive and knowledgeable.
