Our first order of 3,000 m high-NA multimode fiber (100 µm core, 0.48 NA) for data center short-reach links showed coating outer diameter variation exceeding the ±5 µm tolerance on roughly 8% of the spools, which caused fitment issues with our connectorization tooling. I contacted the support team and within 24 hours a replacement batch was arranged at no charge, meeting TIA-492 and IEC 60793-2-10 specs correctly. The replacement arrived in 14 days. Issue appears to have been an isolated production batch problem. Post-resolution quality was fully acceptable and pricing remains attractive for bulk volumes.
