Ordered 50 tonnes of UC 203x203x60 columns in S355J0 for a retaining wall support system. On first delivery, the Charpy impact test records in the MTC referenced the wrong sub-grade designation, which our structural engineer flagged during document review. This held up material release for three days. After raising the issue, the supplier obtained a corrected 3.1 certificate from the mill within 24 hours and the material passed our QC inspection without any physical issues — dimensional tolerances to EN 10034 were correct and yield strength at 368 MPa was compliant. The problem was administrative, not a product quality failure, and the resolution was handled efficiently. Would consider ordering again with clearer upfront documentation instructions.
