We ordered 60 tons of structural steel plates specified to ASTM A572 Grade 50 for a commercial building project in Brisbane. When the MTRs arrived, two plates from one heat were certified to Grade 42 rather than Grade 50 as ordered. This created a compliance issue we had to flag immediately. To their credit, the supplier acknowledged the error quickly, provided replacement material certified to the correct grade within 12 days, and covered the additional freight cost. Final material met spec and the project proceeded without further issues. Service recovery was handled professionally. Rating reflects the initial error, not the resolution.
