Initial coil width tolerance issue — fully resolved by supplier
Our first order of 40 tons of 0.35 mm PE-coated galvanized sheet (Z120, 1,200 mm wide) arrived with three coils measuring 1,185–1,190 mm — outside our ±5 mm tolerance per ASTM A755. We flagged this immediately. The supplier acknowledged the slitting variance, issued a credit note for the affected coils within 48 hours, and sent replacement coils at no additional freight cost. Subsequent delivery was within tolerance. Product coating quality was fine throughout — 500+ hour salt-spray and pencil hardness 2H both confirmed. Appreciate the fast resolution; will trial a second order to see if consistency holds.
