Our first order of 20 MT of 0.50 mm SMP coated sheets in a custom green shade showed slight gloss variation between two coils — one measured 38 GU and the other 52 GU at 60° geometry per ASTM D523, against our agreed 40–50 GU target. We flagged this immediately. The supplier acknowledged the issue, provided a full root-cause analysis within 48 hours, and arranged a replacement coil at no additional cost within 15 days. Subsequent batches have been consistent at 44–47 GU. Appreciated the transparent handling — confidence restored for future orders.
