Initial Flatness Issue on 3mm Sheets – Resolved After Communication
We ordered SS 304 mirror finish at 3.0mm × 1219mm × 2438mm, 80 sheets for equipment housing fabrication. On arrival, roughly 12 sheets showed slight bow exceeding our flatness tolerance of 3mm per metre, which would have caused fit-up problems in our CNC workflow. We raised this with the supplier immediately and sent measurement data. To their credit, they responded within one business day, arranged replacement of the affected sheets at no charge, and confirmed a revised flatness check procedure for our account going forward. Replacement arrived in 14 days. Issue resolved professionally — quality on the replacement batch was fully within spec.
