Initial thickness tolerance issue — resolved promptly, quality now confirmed
Ordered 25 sheets of 304 stainless steel at 10mm for heat exchanger plate fabrication, referencing ASTM A240. On first delivery, measured thickness on three sheets came in at 9.82mm — outside our ±0.1mm engineering tolerance. Reported the discrepancy immediately; the supplier acknowledged the issue, arranged replacement sheets with re-inspection within 6 working days, and provided updated CMM measurement records. Replacement batch was fully within spec. Appreciate that the problem was handled without dispute. Will trial another order to confirm consistency before committing to larger volumes.
