Acceptable Quality — Coating Weight Issue on One Coil Resolved

Ordered 28 tons of galvanized coil, 0.6mm thickness, Z180 coating, width 1100mm for electrical enclosure fabrication. Overall, 10 of the 11 coils met specification without issue — zinc coating weight confirmed at 183–189 g/m² on MTC. However, one coil showed visible thin coating patches in a 400mm section, which our QC team caught during incoming inspection. We raised a claim with supporting photos. The supplier's response time was about 3 business days, and they issued a credit note for the affected coil weight within the week, which was fair. Delivery was 11 days, within the quoted window.
