Ordered 25,000 m of G.657A1 for a mixed indoor/outdoor access network project. Optical specs checked out fine — attenuation at 1550 nm and macrobend loss per ITU-T G.657A1 were within tolerance. However, three reels in the first shipment were approximately 50 m short of the stated 2,000 m length, which disrupted our pull schedule. I raised this with the supplier and they shipped replacement footage within 5 business days at no charge and updated their QC process. Subsequent reorder of 15,000 m had no issues. Good recovery; cautiously optimistic for future orders.
