We ordered 15,000 m of G.657A2 simplex LSZH cable for a commercial building project. Our incoming QC flagged coating diameter readings averaging 258 µm on one reel, outside the IEC 60793-2-50 spec of 245 ±10 µm. We raised a formal non-conformance report with the supplier. Response was prompt — they acknowledged the variance, provided a root-cause explanation related to a coating die adjustment mid-batch, and replaced the affected reel within 12 days at no charge.
