We ordered 20,000 meters of G.657A2 9/125μm cable for a NG-PON2 pilot in Texas. The fiber itself tested well — attenuation at 1310 nm was ≤0.40 dB/km and bend loss at 7.5 mm radius was within ITU-T G.657A2 limits. However, roughly 15% of reels arrived with incorrect reel length labels, which complicated our inventory tracking. I raised the issue and the supplier responded within 4 hours, provided corrected documentation, and offered a partial credit on the next order. The problem was fully resolved within two days. Product performance is solid; just needs tighter QC on outgoing labeling.
