We purchased 75 MT of ASTM A615 Grade 40 #5 bars for a municipal retaining wall project in Ohio. On arrival, the packing list referenced a different heat number than the MTRs, which would have flagged in our owner's quality audit. I raised it with the support team the same day. They issued a corrected MTR with a formal non-conformance closure letter within 48 hours, which satisfied our project engineer. The bars themselves tested fine — yield at 295 MPa, elongation compliant. Issue was administrative, not metallurgical, and the response was professional. Cautiously willing to reorder.
