Initial coating weight variance issue — resolved satisfactorily
Our first order of 50 tons ASTM A653 G60 galvanized coil, 0.60mm, showed coating weight readings slightly below the 60 g/m² minimum on three coils out of twelve, flagged by our incoming QC. We raised this immediately with the distributor. To their credit, they arranged a third-party re-test within 48 hours, confirmed the variance, and replaced the three affected coils at no cost within 10 days. The replacement material was fully compliant. Communication during the resolution was transparent. We've since placed a follow-up order and quality has been correct. Cautiously optimistic going forward.
