| Property | Parameter | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Product Name | Rebar for High Rise Building Projects | Deformed steel reinforcing bar engineered for high-rise structural applications |
| Material Grade | HRB400 / HRB500 / ASTM A615 Gr.60 / BS4449 B500B / EN 10080 B500B | High-strength deformed rebar; international equivalents: Grade 60 (US), B500B (EU), SD490 (JIS) |
| Standard Compliance | GB/T 1499.2, ASTM A615/A615M, BS 4449:2005+A3:2016, EN 10080, JIS G3112 | Compliant with major international structural reinforcement standards |
| Chemical Composition – Carbon (C) | ≤ 0.25% | Controls weldability and hardness; low carbon improves ductility for seismic zones |
| Chemical Composition – Manganese (Mn) | ≤ 1.60% | Enhances tensile strength and hardenability |
| Chemical Composition – Silicon (Si) | 0.20% – 0.80% | Improves deoxidation and strength |
| Chemical Composition – Phosphorus (P) | ≤ 0.045% | Strictly controlled to prevent cold brittleness |
| Chemical Composition – Sulfur (S) | ≤ 0.045% | Controlled to prevent hot shortness and improve toughness |
| Tensile Strength | ≥ 540 MPa (HRB400) / ≥ 630 MPa (HRB500) | Per GB/T 1499.2; ASTM A615 Gr.60: ≥ 620 MPa; ensures structural integrity under extreme loads |
| Yield Strength | ≥ 400 MPa (HRB400) / ≥ 500 MPa (HRB500) | Per GB/T 1499.2; ASTM A615 Gr.60: ≥ 420 MPa; critical for load-bearing column and shear wall design |
| Elongation | ≥ 16% (HRB400) / ≥ 15% (HRB500) | High elongation ensures ductile failure mode, essential for seismic-resistant high-rise structures |
| Diameter Range | Φ6 mm – Φ50 mm | Full range covering stirrups, main bars, and transfer plate reinforcement in high-rise construction |
| Length | 6 m, 9 m, 12 m (standard); custom lengths available | 12 m bars preferred for high-rise to minimize lap joints and improve structural continuity |
| Surface Finish | Hot-rolled deformed (ribbed) surface | Transverse and longitudinal ribs provide superior mechanical bond with concrete; meets rib geometry per ASTM/GB/EN |
| Application | High-rise residential, commercial towers, core walls, transfer floors, pile caps, mat foundations | |
| Certification | ISO 9001:2015, CE Marking, Mill Test Certificate (MTC) per EN 10204 3.1/3.2, SGS/BV third-party inspection available | Full traceability documentation provided for each heat/lot |
| Packaging | Bundled in 2–5 MT bundles, steel-strapped; seaworthy packing available | Bundles labeled with grade, heat number, diameter, and standard for site identification |
| MOQ | 25 MT per order | Mixed diameter orders accepted; bulk project supply contracts supported |
We ordered 150 MT of ASTM A615 Gr60 in 10 mm and 16 mm straight bars for PT slab passive reinforcement on a 21-storey condominium project in Miami. The rebar itself tested correctly — yield strength 428 MPa, tensile 635 MPa, diameter tolerance within ±0.5 mm as required. However, two bundles arrived with heat number labels that did not match the corresponding mill test report entries, which flagged immediately during our site QC check. We raised it with the supplier and a corrected documentation package was emailed within 6 hours, with a written explanation. The physical material was never in doubt, but the paperwork error caused a half-day delay. Issue is resolved and we are considering a follow-up order.
