We ordered 12 km of polyimide-coated DTS fiber for a high-temperature desert pipeline application (operating range up to +250 °C). On arrival, the outer jacket markings did not clearly indicate the temperature rating, which raised a compliance question with our site engineer and caused a two-day hold. After contacting support, the team provided the full IEC 60793 certification and a clarified product data sheet within 4 hours — the rating was correct all along. The fiber itself performed to spec: attenuation ≤0.20 dB/km at 1,550 nm, tensile load confirmed at 2,700 N. Issue was resolved, and we have since placed a follow-up order.
