We ordered 20,000 meters of G.657.A2 fiber for a regional FTTH drop cable project in Queensland. The fiber itself performed correctly — attenuation at 1310 nm averaged 0.34 dB/km and macrobend loss at R=7.5 mm was within ITU-T G.657.A2 limits. However, the initial shipment arrived without the IEC 60793-1-30 proof test stress certificates our client required for compliance sign-off. After raising the issue, the supplier provided the full documentation package within 48 hours and followed up with a process improvement note. Problem was resolved and the project proceeded on time.
